1/4 circle Suture Needle:
It has a little curvature, use on convex surfaces and delicate surgery, typically use in ophthalmic procedures, facial aesthetics, eyelids, fascia, and microsurgery.
1/2 circle Suture Needle:
It has a large arc to use in confined sites, the application area is skin, muscle, peritoneum, eye, abdominal surgery, and gastrointestinal tract.
3/8 circle Suture Needle:
The most common needles use in large and superficial wounds and it's impossible to use in deep cavities. This needle is applied in the skin, hand surgery, fascia, muscle, and subcuticular.
5/8 circle Suture Needle:
These needles are perfect with deep and confined cavities due to the needle design making maneuvering in a small location easier. Application area Intraoral, urogenital, and anorectal procedures.
J shape needle:
Used on deep incisions so it is used in laparoscopic surgery without any injury to the visceral and applied in the vagina and rectum.
Straight needle:
Can be used without a needle holder as is the case of a curvature needle and there is a high risk of accidentally sticking yourself. It uses an easily accessible tissue, typically in abdominal surgery, and rhinoplasty.
Suture Material:
Absorbable Surgical Suture: Polyglacolic acid (PGA), Polyglacolic acid rapid (PGAR); Poliglactine 910 (PGLA), Polydioxanone(PDO/.PDSII), Polyglecoprane (PGCL), chromic catgut and plain catgut
Non-absorbable Suture: Silk Braided(SK), Nylon suture(NL), Polypropylene (PM), Polyester Suture(PB), Stainless steel(SS)

Polyglycolic Acid(PGA)
POLYGLYcoLIC ACID
(absorbable suture PGA) using ethylene oxide sterilization method, the tissue reaction is small, according to the individual physique is generally 90 days of the general absorption.
Plain Catgut
Plain catgut is also called ordinary catgut, commonly used in Department of Urology and gastrointestinal surgery, absorbed by proteases, according to each different system generally 70 days completely absorbed.
Chromic Catgut
Chromic catgut is usually used in pediatric surgery,Department of Urology, obstetrics and Gynecology, absorbed by proteases, according toeach different system generally 90 days completely absorbed.
Polydioxanone (PDO)
Absorbable suture PDO is made up of suture needle and absorbable synthetic suture. The suture needle is made of high quality stainless steelwhich is in line with the standard, and has good elasticity and toughness. The suture material is poly (two oxo cyclohexanone).
Polyglactin(PGLA)
POLYGLACTIN (Absorbable suture PGLA) is made of medical suture needle and suture (PGLA) is composed of two parts, of which the suture needle can conform to the standard made of high quality stainless steel material, and has good flexibility and toughness.
SILK BRAIDED (SK)
.High tensile strength, non-absorbable - good and extended tissue support for up to 3 month
.Braided or twisted structure - excellent handling properties, high flexibility, high tensile strength, excellent knot security
.Coated multifilament - soft passage through the tissues with minimal sawing, tissue drag and trauma, good knot tie down/adjustability, reduced capillary action
.Hermetically sealed packing - guaranteed seal and product sterility
NYLON MONOFILAMENT (NL)
Silk suture elicits an initial inflammatory reaction in tissues, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissues.
POLYPROPYLENE MONOFILAMENT
Nonabsorbable Medical Surgical Polypropylene Monofilament Suture
Polypropylene sutures are monofilament sutures of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin. Polypropylene sutures are non-absorbable and provide permanent wound support.
Feature:
Rigid enough to prevent bending or distortion with some flexibility to bend before breaking, as the greater needle strength prevent tissue trauma.
High sharpness to ensure easy and rapid tissue penetration.
Good structure to easy retrieve the needle from tissue in order to reduce tissue injury.
Smooth profile, so the needle is coated with silicon to reduce friction, facilitate penetration and give more glide.
Sterile, and corrosion resistant to prevent microorganism and foreign material of making any contamination to the wound.
Appropriate to grasp by surgical equipment like needle holder or forceps Particularly surgical needles should manufacture as slim as possible with a good strength to provide high quality and all of surgical criteria.
