The author shares some precautions for changing dressings with hydrocolloid dressings:

1. Because the patient is extremely sensitive to the catheter, therefore, be sure to use a hydrocolloid dressing to isolate the catheter from the skin when changing the dressing;

2. Routinely disinfect the local skin with iodophor before each use 3

(Do not use alcohol to disinfect the damaged skin). After the disinfectant is naturally dried, use a cotton ball of saline to clean the puncture point and the skin ulcer with the disinfectant;

3. After natural drying, take the hydrocolloid ulcer paste and cut out a small hole (pay attention to aseptic operation), and fix it on the outlet of the catheter, and then apply the hydrocolloid transparent paste (take 5 cm*10

cm) Fix it in the running direction of the catheter, and fix the catheter with a transparent film dressing. Be careful not to touch the extension tube with the exposed tube.
