The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (Nasal Swab) is a single-use test kit intended to detect the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 in human oral fluid. This test is designed for home use with self-collected oral fluid samples from symptomatic individuals who are suspected of being infected with COVID-19. The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (Oral Fluid) obtain a preliminary results only, the final confirmation should be based on clinical diagnostic results.
The novel coronaviruses belong to the β genus. COVID-19 is an acute respiratory infectious disease. People are generally susceptible. Currently, the patients infected by the novel coronavirus are the main source of infection; asymptomatic infected people can also be an infectious source. Based on the current epidemiological investigation, the incubation period is 1 to 14 days, mostly 3 to 7 days. The main manifestations include fever, fatigue and dry cough. Nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhoea are found in a few cases.
Use
1. Remove the secretions on the surface of the anterior nasal cavity, keep the head slightly tilted.
2. Gently and slowly insert the swab through the nasal cavity (about 2-4cm). Rotate gently 5 times.
3. Gently rotate to remove the swab.
4. Put the swab specimen into the extraction tube pre-added with 6 drops of extraction buffer, rotate the swab about 10 times while pressing the swab head against the tube wall to release the antigen in the swab.
5. Leave the swab in the extraction tube for 1 minute, remove the swab while squeezing the tip of the swab to extract the liquid from the swab.
6. Press the dropper tip tightly onto the tube and wait for 1 minute.
7. Apply 3 drops of extracted solution to the specimen well of the test device.
8. Read the test result in 15 minutes.
